Mr. Daniel Joshua, the Taraba state-born 31-year old, former N-Power graduate employee says his sound Christian moral upbringing compelled him to refund the N60,000 paid into his account, after he quit the scheme in April.

 Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday July 1, tweeted and praised Joshua’s rare display of integrity, which he said was worthy of emulation by Nigerian youths.

Dozens killed in China floods as rivers overflow

More than 50 people killed as heavy rain has caused the Yangtse River and many of its tributaries to overflow.


At least 56 people have been killed and 22 are missing as heavy rains pummeled southern China, flooding towns, cutting off power and destroying houses, officials said on Tuesday. 
Water levels in more than 60 different rivers have risen above warning levels, forcing more than 1.2 million people to evacuate.

Fruit juice manufacturers under heat from consumers over high sugar

Stakeholders in the fruit juice products may stir a new wave of crisis if information obtained in the market place and from some consumers is anything to go by.

The consumer complaints may have led to nutrition experts’ call for reduction in consumption of the products. The development may also force government and its regulatory agencies to begin to beam searchlight on the activities of fruit juice manufacturers.

 Consumers’ worries are centered on excessive sugar content in most of the fruit drinks.

Police arrest 3 for allegedly beheading UniOsun student



The Osun Police Command on Tuesday paraded three persons arrested in Osogbo for allegedly beheading a 400 level student of the University of Osun.

  The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Olufimihan Adeoye, said the suspects  carried out the crime on June 26  at about 7:30pm  at Oke-Bale area of Osogbo.
