The couple, who wed on July 4 1999, took to Instagram to share pictures of the ceremony, and moments in the limelight from years gone by.
The pop star-turned-designer posted a picture of the pair beaming at one another on their wedding day, with baby Brooklyn Beckham happily snoozing in his father’s arms. Her caption simply said, “I love you. Kisses x”
The footballer, meanwhile, dug deep into the style archives to find the infamous shot of the pair wearing matching leather outfits at a Versace party in 1999. “Wow we really did this. Happy Anniversary to an amazing wife , mummy and strong business woman,” he wrote alongside the throwback image.
Victoria Beckham has recently spoken about the secret to their relationship, which has spanned two decades in the public spotlight. “We have a lot of fun together,” she told VogueNetherlands. “If I really was as miserable as I look in some of those paparazzi pictures, my children wouldn’t be as happy as they are. And I certainly wouldn’t be married any more.”
